Three laborers have been arrested for attempting to illegally enter the high-security Parliament complex using forged Aadhaar cards. The CISF intercepted and detained Kasim, Monis, and Soyeb during security and identity checks at the flap gate entry. Upon further investigation, the Delhi Police confirmed the forgery and arrested the trio on charges of forgery and cheating.
According to the FIR, two of the men had Aadhaar cards with identical serial numbers but their photos, while the identity of the third worker, Soyeb, is still under investigation. The men were employed by Dee Vee Projects Limited and had been working on the construction of the MP's lounge inside the Parliament complex for the past three months.
The CISF, which recently took over the entire security of the Parliament complex, discovered the forged documents during a routine check. This heightened security comes after a previous security breach in December 2023, when two men threw smoke canisters inside the Lok Sabha.
